This is the second release from Capslock Down. The album is a joint effort between him and his brother, the prestigious Chipbreak artist Swampyboy. The album is full of polished tracks from both artists, whose use of powerful breaks on top of sweet melodic Chiptunes, combines to make this one of the biggest releases in the community.
Concrete Wolves is an exciting approach to Chiptune. Taking inspiration from Metalcore & IDM Breaks, specifically artists such as Squarepusher, we find superior melodies and breaks throughout. Listening to this record is like travelling into an Adult Swim cartoon.
Tales Told in the Darkness is a mixture of Breakcore, Chiptune, Glitch, Noise and Atmos. It features songs from a variety of Demos; most tales in this release are dark and evil with a hint of glitchy Shitcore. However, there are some happy moments, and that’s what gives this release its wide variety of style
This is the first album release from Capslock Down and features a lot of his early hits from within the world of Chiptune. Throughout the album you can really hear him developing his own idiosyncratic style. A unique blend of Chiptune, Breakcore, Hardcore and Electro is a perfect way to uplift ones spirits.
Halycon is the first album from Voek. It is an ambient piece of work that also includes elements such as Trip-Hop, Chiptune and beat-slicing. Not what you have come to expect from Voek but this album is very well produced and worth a listen. It could also be compared to early Sabrepulse.
